Happy Valley è la miglior serie dell’anno, premiata ai Bafta TV Awards 2017, battendo la giovane Regina Elisabetta di The Crown.

Ai Bafta TV Awards 2017, gli Oscar della TV inglese, trionfa la serie Happy Valley che batte la favoritissima The Crown, biopic sulla gioventù della Regina Elisabetta interpretata da Claire Foy, a sua volta battuta da Sarah Lancashire, protagonista proprio di Happy Valley. La miglior serie internazionale è invece American Crime Story: Il caso O.J. Simpson. Miglior attore Adeel Akhtar per Murdered by my father.
